Toledo Public Schools opened the first high school in Toledo, Ohio, in 1853. They’re currently the fourth largest district in Ohio, with 42 elementary schools and 11 high schools. The district is led by Superintendent Dr. Romules Durant, a TPS graduate of Waite High School. Design2influence has worked with Dr. Durant and his staff for over five years to effectively showcase their passion and dedication for the students of TPS. The district remained proud of its 167-year history in the city and desired to retain that influence while creating brand innovation for the future.
Toledo Public Schools asked us to work with them to develop a video to kick off their school year. Several members of our team are TPS graduates, so we feel the passion of being #TPSProud. Design2influence developed a creative #TPSProud video campaign supported by multi-communication materials. Our working relationship has created a true representation of the teachers, staff, students, and families of the school district. The results have generated considerable metrics and impact on the workings of Toledo Public Schools.
Design2influence worked with TPS to create their #TPSProudCares initiative in response to the COVID-19 epidemic in April 2020. We created a video to highlight the district’s dedication to step up during times of crisis. It also served as a medium to connect to students who were learning from home. Design2influence designed logos, apparel, and outdoor signage to showcase this particular initiative. This project went viral, which helped mesh an engaging and innovative representation of their brand and who they are as a school community.
Toledo Public Schools started the Aerospace & Natural Science Academy of Toledo to introduce career technology options for students in Northwest Ohio. Design2influence crafted a separate logo to differentiate this expansion of the district’s higher ed program. The logo created a cohesive idea that featured influences of aerospace and natural sciences to define the district’s new academy.
