d2i is the branding, advertising and design agency of MadAveGroup. Our team loves thinking about the influence brand has over the decision-making process. We believe brand equity is priceless, so we work to protect and grow it.
We spend our days in a mix of focused “alone time” and playing well with others – the strategists, writers, videographers and other creatives under the MadAveGroup roof. It’s a roof that rises four stories into the UpTown Toledo atmosphere and keeps the rain off five other niche agencies – about 40 people total.
Are You Sure You Want to Apply for This?
Do you have large feet? Good, because you’ve got some big shoes to fill.
You’ll work alongside our CBO, a serious brand guy with a list of accomplishments longer than your leg – the taller one. He’s a celebrated designer with hundreds of creative awards to his credit. He’s been featured in Communication Arts Magazine and Print, Idea and Graphis International. His work has even been inducted into the Smithsonian’s Cooper-Hewitt National Design Museum in New York City.
So, yeah, our expectations are on the high side.
What You’ll Do
As our new Senior Art Director, you’ll inspire a small team of designers. You’ll also lead the creative direction for our clients, research industry trends, dive into our clients’ histories, keep tabs on what their competitors are up to, win awards, impress the world, delight everyone you meet so they can’t help but chant your name in unison as they carry you through the streets. Ya’ know – that kind of stuff.
You’ll also interact with Account Executives, agency directors and – who are we kidding? – probably everyone else in the building at one time or another.
You’ll work with a few Fortune 500 companies, the area’s largest school system, banks, manufacturing clients and the occasional nonprofit. And, ideally, you’ll look forward to getting in front of prospective clients to share your vision and excitement with them.
What We’ll Love About You
Along with your creativity, strong perspective and, of course, the never-ending ideas that seem to spring from your skull, we’d like you to be a nice person who can get along with others. Sure, we understand if you’re a jerk, but we’d rather not deal with that whole thing.
You’re also the kind of person who sees opportunity everywhere: opportunity for improvement, for growth, for new business, for turning chance encounters into brand loyalists.
The MadAveGroup team includes three Silver Medal Award winners. The SMA is the highest honor given by local chapters of the American Advertising Federation. We’d like you to exert the kind of influence that’ll make you a shoo-in as our fourth recipient.
